Today I've been feeling pretty under the weather. I have a bit of a sore throat. My whole body is feeling just kind of... meh, you know? And I have a completely terrible headache. I'm just wondering: Is this the infamous Atkins flu? Or am I sick?

Re: Atkins Flu or Flu Season?
The flu fatigue is way worst than meh.. take my word on that! And you would likely have quite a bit of body ache. Blah and headachey is Atkins flu, or sugar detox to go more to the cause!
The sore throat is the one thing that concerns me, you shouldn't get a sore throat from Atkins. However, salt water gargles are quite Atkins Legal and very effective! and I am a big believer in the health effects of the Neti Pot.
Got mine at CVS. Everytime I get a glimmer of a sore throat, I use this. Tiny bit of congestion, I use it. Haven't been sick all winter. (Well tummy issues, but nothing nose or throat or chest!)

Re: Atkins Flu or Flu Season?
I agree with Mom: sore throat isn't part of the "Induction flu" or carb withdrawals.
And I agree with her too about the netipot---only I don't use the netipot, I use the big squirty bottle thing NeilMed Pharmaceuticals, Makers of Sinus Rinse, NasaFlo Netipot, Nasal Irrigation . I haven't had any head colds since I've beeing using it. At the first sign of sniffles, I rinse my nose and it stops the sniffles from progressing into something worse.~Megs~
