  • 6th day and pounds lost!!

    Ok, so I have been writing on here how this time around induction has been harder. Well, I might be counting my blessings too early but, this morning I woke up with SO much energy its ridiculous! I hope it sticks. But I am prepared to hang on regardless. I weighed myself for the first time just to make sure I wasnt gaining and I have lost.......
    6.5 lbs in 5 days! Wow! I mean, it must be water weight but I'll take it. I am sure it probably wont continue like this since I want to loose 45 lbs. But I am happy. I feel good that I am doing it right. The headaches have been absent for today. I am drinking plenty of water and feel really motivated. I felt bloated the last few months and hated it. So I already feel a tiny, tiny bit lighter from the water weight loss. My hubby even told me today that I look good, that my skin looks nice. Wow! I know its really early but I am excited to have a GREAT day after the miserable first 4 I had. I want to thank EVERYONE on this board. Wow. I can only hope I can be as much support to you as you all are to me. Its amazing how you can feel so much stronger from the kind, encouraging words of strangers. Thanks!

    Congratulations, Cindy!!!!!! 6.6 pounds in 5 days is GREAT!

    It sounds like this Way of Eating is really agreeing with you!!!

      1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
      what the rungs mean to me:
      rung 1 - more veggies
      rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
      rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
      rung 4 - berries, melon
      rung 5 - wine -
      rung 6 - beans, hummus
      rung 7 - other fruits
      rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
      rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
      Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
      (on to pre-maintenance)

        Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

        F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )
