My mighty 2002 DANDR it says "Prepared Salad dressings without added sugar and no more than two carbs per tablespoon serving are also fine" and the heavy cream it states "cream (heavy or light) limit to two to three tablespoons a day; note carbohydrate content."

(this is in the induction section too.)

    Hope that helps some...

Heavy cream comes in the 'special category' of the acceptable foods list and you can have up to 3 Tablespoons occasionally. but if you find you stop losing weight you ought to reconsider cream as it could be causing this.

As for mayo - you need to check the ingredients as some commercial ones have sugar in them. Remember that packaged foods can state zero carbs if they have less than one carb per serving so if one serving is one tablespoon and you have three tablespoons of it then your three servings might have a couple of carbs in them :yikes

If you make your own from 'legal' ingredients you can have as much as you want but count your carbs - an egg has over half a carb in it!

But you need to have at least half your daily maximum of 20 carbs from veggies.

Here is a link to the list of foods you can eat on induction to refresh your knowledge. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ic.php?t=68132
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

          Actually it doesnt say 'unlimited'
It says 'Eat liberally' and 'When hungry eat the amount that makes you feel satisfied, not stuffed'

And if you check the carb counter table in the book it puts 0.6 grams of carbs for one egg! So if you have say an omelette with 3 eggs that is nearly 2 carbs which counts as some of your up to 20 per day.

Mayonaise has eggs in it so must have some carbs too - the one I use has .25 grams per ounce. In UK we are lucky because they do not list the nutrition 'per serving' but 'per 100 grams' (about 3.5 ounces) so they cant list things as '0 carbs' just because the serving size they recommend is a small one!

One way to account for all these small amounts of carbs is to use a website like www.fitday.com which adds all these little amounts up to give you an overall total.
