Well... my first day on induction is getting closer to its end, it's 10:30pm and here's a breakdown:
7:30am - Wake up, shower and get dressed
8:10am - Arrive at clinic to get my blood tested for cholesterol, triglycerides and other stuff... I'll be taking monthly measurements to see if my levels improve.
8:20am - In less than 10 minutes 3 tubes of blood left my body, and around $40 dollars left my wallet
Results will be ready at 5:30pm
8:30am - Got back home and had 3 scrambled eggs with butter and 3oz of left-over filet mignon, had maybe 100ml of Coke-Zero and around 400ml of water.
9:00am - Arrive at work.
12:45pm - Had 8oz of broiled rib-eye seasoned with red pepper, black pepper, garlic, paprika and salt... just delicious! A handfull of lettuce, some broccoli, 2oz pepper-jack cheese, half a Hass avocado and some celery with 2 spoons (1carb) of blue-cheese dressing, all drizzled with olive oil.
5:45pm - Pick up my test results, my blood chemistry (including blood sugar) looks great but my uric acid is high (8.9mg/dL), my bad cholesterol is high (225mg/dL) and my triglycerids are SKY HIGH (503mg/dL)
well, that was expected having had a high-carb life for so long
6:15pm - Had 6oz of grilled skirt-meat (we call it "arrachera" here in México) with some butter and the same seasoning as the rib-eye, 2oz pepper-jack cheese, handfull of lettuce, handfull of celery, 2 spoons of blue-cheese dressing and the other half of the avocado, all drizzled with olive oil.
8:00pm - Had 15min of medium intensity bicycle, with 2-minute high intensity bursts. Moving my legs made me wanna go to the throne, and I did... generously...
9:00pm - Had 3 scrambled eggs with butter, a bit of mustard and 2oz of fresh bacon (from the butcher, it's less salty)
I didn't really keep track of how much water I had, but a wild guess would be around 1 gallon, which must be some kind of record for me...
I feel great so far...
Your thoughts?
