    I add fat to my menu by melting butter over my veggies (mmm, butter). Also eating fattier meats, like bacon, helps add fat to your menu.

    I think you will have a hard time staying under 20 carbs/day while being extra hungry (from beastfeeding/caring for baby?) and not eating meat before dinner. Could you have meat for breakfast, then skip the dairy at lunch, allowing for meat and dairy again at dinner? (If I understand the Kosher rules correctly) Another thought is to move to OWL: you could add a few more carbs, and more cheese/dairy in Rung 2. I don't know if this has been suggested to you before, it is just a thought on how to make this WOE work better for you.

      I use bacon grease to flavor green beans, cabbage and brussels sprouts when I cook them -- I also use it for cooking eggs some mornings. I keep the bacon grease in a jar in my fridge and enjoy the flavor it adds to food.
