Yes, it's on the List of Acceptable Foods for Induction!

    >>i do have the book (somewhere).but just can't find it anywhere!..>>

My suggestion would be (obviously) to find it ... or if all else fails, buy a new one. Or get one from the library while you're looking for yours!

    Until then:

The Atkins Police are currently doing a House to House Search to find the offenders, and they will proceed to empty all the illegal Diet Coke
from the premises and dispose of them accordingly. (LOL)

Well Seriously, the can't control what some people are drinking. And Yes, you are correct, it is highly advised that they do not drink Diet Coke.

I thought that there was diet coke made with splenda too and maybe even stevia.
But it is always good to be careful no matter what sweetener you are faced with. I lose better without them.
Pumpkin is a must - great stuff. Most of us have stacks of cans somewhere. I even cooked up loads last Halloween and keep in the freezer. I love a pumpkin cream cheese concoction for when I just need something for that spot.
Sometimes I make pumpkin shakes. Those rock too.

But I do not make anything that includes both diet coke and pumpkin

Is it because the saftey of aspertame is kind of iffy? Or because it can actually stall weight loss? I have a few Diet Cherry Cokes that I'm finishing off and then not buying again! If it's in the house, I will drink it! Otherwise, I'm fine with water!

Both are mentioned by Dr. Atkins in his books... but he wrote that his main concern was that it might stall weight loss for some people, which is what he observed in his practice.

Re: Coke and Pumpkin? Induction legal???

actually the stalled folk was statistically skewed cause it was 25% of the folk who contacted Dr Atkins about being stalled stopped being stalled when they gave up drinking diet sodas according to his website. Obviously if one was not stalled and was drinking them one would not contact him about being unstalled drinking diet coke.

there was a faulty study done to prove it was the aspartame in soda that stalled but the results could not be replicated and the orginal protocal didn't eliminate other possible stallers like citric acid or caffeine so no direct conclusions cound be make
