I'm in the first week of induction, and I am fighting cravings horribly. Is there anything sweet at all that won't hold me up?

Re: Fighting Cravings

Induction is a good time to break the sweet habit. Don't encourage, try to lose it.
And there is plenty of time later for Induction Friendly/Extended Induction/OWL friendly occasional treats.
Use these two weeks for a "clean induction", and those cravings should go away in a few days.
(We have all been there, and get through it.

Re: Fighting Cravings
The cravings for carbs & sweets really do pass after a while if you starve them out. Some of us find that something sour, like a dill pickle (no sugar added - check the ingredients!), will kill a craving for sweets.Julie__________________F/37/5'2"__________________Start April 15, 2009

Guess what you did??? Ok ... you "caved".Originally posted by Raina View PostI have been having bad craving as well... and guess what I did? I had about 1/4 cup of whole grain rice, and a small tsp of peanut butter. I know it's suppose to be off limits, but my craving was satisfied... and down 2 pounds today!
Actually, all that happened is your cravings won ... and now the text time you get a craving, you're going to find it even more difficult to beat them back.
You've on a very very dangerous and slippery slope ...
And ... both items are indeed "off limits" on Induction.

Re: Fighting Cravings
Sometimes on induction if it gets hard. I eat luxury items. Like blue cheese or smoked salmon or prosciutto ham. Prosciutto ham roll ups are really good.Originally posted by mirandajaelle07 View PostI'm in the first week of induction, and I am fighting cravings horribly. Cream cheese is something that helps to. Have you tried the mock Danish? I also like cheddar cheese crackers.

Re: Fighting Cravings
Raina,
I wonder ... have you "decided" to do Atkins ... or are you just playing around ... trying something out that you're not really sure about?
