But now, I feel Momof3 because she was simply stating how she felt. She has never been a Waitress, so how would she know what a Waitress would go through, I mean who cares that's her job, nobody feels for anyone else on theirs, plus who wants the sympathy?!. I mean come on, there's no need to be so rude to her! If a person was a Mom like us with a whole bunch of kids, then you would want to get out and eat for a change, and spend your hard earned money to feed you and your family, and you'd expect a certain level of knowledge, I don't care if its Mc Donalds. If the employee don't know, then they need to be trained to know. Nobody is paying for someone just to serve them!! I find its the Waitresses and Waiters fault for not wanting to get to know what's going on in the establishment they work in; They just want to show up, take orders and bring food and beverages, and then they expect a tip?? Please! They better up their game because I don't feel sorry for none of them! Most of them are sore losers anyway! The help always want something for nothing! ((rolling eyes)) Get a life or get your job straight!

I agree.. just because its easier to cook that stuff doesnt mean its good for you hehe and some people are health nutz so a waiter will most likely be asked whats in the food

nikki - are you going to come in and train all the employees of the 150000 diff. low carb plans?? Theres not just one plan-theres thousands of variations. Most employees know the menu- but theres NO reason to know each plan. If you have never worked in a restaurant-you might not know certain things lol. As i wrote my story- i was yelled at for the night because i didnt bring white bread to a table who ordered from our low-carb menu.

noone was being rude- Momof3 stated her opinion, we stated ours- form the other side of things....


"want something for nothing"- granted there are a few girls who are not good at their jobs,but many many are working there butts off for their measely 1.50$ tips. ...

and this is coming from a person who was a server, and now i am a pharmacist and live quite comfortably- but i still dont walk into a restaurant and expect them to bow before me because i make more than them,or conduct the attitude of yours

The attitude that wait staff are there because they can't get another job is so wrong. A lot of wait staff are there because they LIKE their job and are darn good at it. Rude customers are usually few and far between, and most customers tend to be pretty nice and make up for the jerks who come in and think they are better than the wait staff because they have a different job.

Well gee.. not everyone can be born with a silver spoon in their mouth from well to do families who pay our way. The help always want something for nothing? I guess maybe you've always had the wrong kind of help.

You're all more than welcome to got to Denny's and other restaurants and hold seminars on low carb diets.. just make sure you're well versed in ALL of them, even the ones people make up for themselves because there are tons of different low carb diets out there.. you wouldn't want the restaurant to discriminate by using the Atkins plan as a guide and making the Southbeach people feel unwanted... or maybe they could go by the Zone method and make Atkins and Southbeach people feel unwanted.

I did not ask that the wait staff ( and like it or not they ar estaff, their job to to serve us, just like when I go to photograph a wedding, I am hired help, I my ego would say that since I get paid 3000$ for that wedding I am not hired help, but it all comes down to that. ) to learn about 15000 low carb diets, I am asking them to do their job, and know the menu! It was a low carb menu, the meals had counted net carbs included right on the menu, and bread and hash brown was NOT lncluded with te meal. Just know the menu. If it were reversed and someone ordered off the reg menu, and they did not get hash browns or bread they would complain too. It comes down to know the menu!
