  • Should I stay or should I Move on?

Well, today marks the 15th day of a cheat free induction. I have lost 4.5 lbs I need to mention that this is 2nd time for me. I lost all 4.5 lbs in the first week and lost 0 my second week. My ketostix sometimes say I am in ketosis and sometimes says I'm not. I don't have but 15.5 lbs to go to reach my goal. My question is...Am I ready to move to the next phase or should I stay. I seem to be a some kinda stall. I'm drinking 60-100 oz of water a day and I exercise 30-45 min. 5 days a week. I don't mind going on an exteded induction but would like to ask someone else what they think.

Dr. A says once you have only 15 pounds to lose you should be a-movin' on to OWL!

congrats on the great job you did working your Induction. What you are experiencing is common on all weight loss programs the dreaded 3rd week hesitation in scale weight loss. It has to do with all the changes you have made and the compensation your body as made to try to counter them. If you keep working your Atkins it will keep working for you.
Read chapter 13 and 14 of DANDR. moving on is just 5 more net carbs of those induction veggies. Wannabe just moved to OWl and lost 5 pounds. OWl isn't the end of weight loss. try the more veggies and see how well you too are going to do. remember to make friends with yur tape measure so you can see the inches of fat mealting off your body.

      Happy low carbing.

jump to theOWL forum andread all the stickies so you understand how. there is a typo in DANDR chapter 14 that is explained so you can do rung one easy.

If after you have done rung one you are ready for the next experiment part ofOWL that is fresh Dairy and then nuts and seeds, berries and melons, legumes, starchie vegies other fruits and grains in a controlled manner in a ever increasing Glycemic iload amount. you can do it and you get to have fun and test out many great recipes using those foods too.

          Happy OWLing.

The last 5-10 pounds are to be spent in Pre-Maintenance, according to Dr. Atkins. In addition to what 2Big said, OWL is where you learn to "eat in the real world" because you are introducing/reintroducing foods while you are losing weight.
