I been looking around and cant find the almond flour ,Atkins Bake Mix, other nut flours, oat flower etc. Where does everyone find this stuff? What stores?
if you're still in extended induction i am pretty sure that almond flour, oat flour, etc. are going to be off limits until you get to the nuts or grain rungs of OWL. i'm unsure about the atkins baking mix. i picked up some flaxmeal the other day at a health food store and they had LOTS of wheat flour substitites in a section devoted to gluten free products - i would try a health food store, whole foods, etc. when you get to the point that you can have these things.
you're lucky you can find them in regular grocery stores. here in pittsburgh the regular supermarkets have terrible selections. i was home visiting my folks this weekend and was really impressed at how many interesting products they have there. pittsburgh's not very adventurous in terms of food - except they put french fries ON everything - sandwiches, salads, etc.
You generally want to be looking in higher end grocery stores and these will vary by your location. Don't expect Food Lion to have soy flour! I primarily do my shopping for flax meal, etc, at Wegmans; Harris Teeter also has an excellent selection of Bob's Red Mill Products. Almond flour I get at Trader Joe's.

Nut flours are just ground up nuts, so you could do that at home if you have a coffee grinder. Oat flour, same thing...buy some steel cut oats and give them a whirl in the grinder.
I don't even know if they make the Atkins Bake Mix anymore but from what I've heard of it and the soy flours, it can take quite a bit of getting used to in terms of flavour.
I have used almond flour in a few things and I really like it.
I like carbquik on www.netrition.com. Its like bisquik and you can do just about anything with it that you can do with bisquick. I make pancakes and waffles with it. Its yummy!
