Has anyone seen this book? Does anyone know how "induction friendly" this book is or is not? I am on extended induction and wondered how many of the recipes could be used. I will probably be on extended induction for some time and am looking for family friendly recipes that are quick and easy. Saw this book and thought it might have some good ideas, but don't want to buy it if I cannot use it until maintenance. Any one know?

I don't have Dana Carpenders Low carb crock pot book. But I just got George Stella's. Haven't really had much time to look through it. I'll get back to you on his book. I have Dana's 500 Low Carb recipes and just got back from picking up her 500 MORE Low carb recipes. I really like her books!BARB

Re: Dana Carpender low carb crockpot recipe book
Thanks, I am checking out the sites and they look really good and yummy. Will certainly be trying out some of the recipes. I thought crockpot ones would be good also as I could put dinner together in the morning. Most of my previous crockpot attempts have turned out rather bland, even when I use seasoning, but I love the idea of throwing things in in the morning and having dinner done when I come home. Family doesn't eat casseroles or anything that would be easy so I have to really search for recipes that they will eat. The George Stella book sounds promising. Be sure and let me know how you like it. I may sit down in a bookstore and look at the Dana Carpender book.

Re: Dana Carpender low carb crockpot recipe book
I have one of Dana's books, but not the crockpot book. The one I have is great, because there are recipes that will work from induction all the way up into maintenance. You'll just have to pick out recipes where the ingredients are on the induction list. I highly recommend her book. However, I have been using Linda's LowCarb site more because she has pictures!~Joy

OOps the crockpot one is not George Stella. It the Everyday low carb slow cooker cookbook by Kitty Broihier, M.S., R.D., and Kimberly Mayone. I just posted a chicken soup recipe, looks pretty good.Originally posted by BizBeeThanks, I am checking out the sites and they look really good and yummy. Re: Dana Carpender low carb crockpot recipe book
D'uh!! I really should have said: the site does have some crockpot recipes!
http://www.carb-lite.au.com/71MEATBE...ml#Crock%20Pot
it's in the beef section, and then organized by method of cooking!
