I started on March 28th,2006 at 225. My goal is 140. I lost 15 pounds the first two weeks. I was 210 on April 12th. Feel great. Drinking loads and loads of water, no cheating. Not hungry but making sure I eat something anyway...not going more than than 6 hours (when I'm awake) walking for exercise. But now that I hit 210..the scale seems to be stuck...it won't move at all.
This is soo frustrating. I will say I feel a lot better without sugar and flour in my life. I miss fruit...but I want to lose the weight more than I want the fruit. I am 56 with two bad knees and an end stage shoulder. So the kind of exercise I can do is limited...but I am doing what I can. I have a dive trip planned in June...when I dive I get a lot more exercise...and that I can do ...but I live in Northern New Mexico and Denver..no diving right here, right now. Here's a typical day:
Breakfast: 1 egg omelet with cheese and green onions
Three strips of bacon
Lunch: 2 smoked pork ribs (no sugar no barbeque sauce...but if I want sauce a tarragon, mayo and mustard mix)
cup of clow slaw (homemade...I use 1/2 head of cabbage to a 1/4 onion a T of apple cider vinegar. A sprinkle of dried ranch dressing and some mayo)
3 or so....couple of celery sticks dipped in guacamole (avacado, onion, sour cream, jalepeno peppers) or maybe some sliced red peppers
Dinner: Two small lamb chops (if I can handle that much meat...sometimes I give it to my critters)
salad with romane, cukes, sprouts, maybe a couple of cherry tomatoes and a tsp. of Drew's Ginger soy dressing..0 carbs (great stuff..I highly recommend it..it happened to be my favorite dressing before) If I think I need something more..a little mashed cauliflower.
Any suggestions as to how to kick this in gear? I wouldn't mind being patient if I could just get the &^*& scale to budge even a little.
Any suggestions on what I can do to move things. Yes, I'm happy with the initial 15lbs...but NOTHING (not measurements...fit...nothing) has changed since April 12th. I am on Metformin and Cozaar..looking forward to getting off both of them. According to what I read..Metformin can HELP with weight loss. What's going on? Suggestions greatfully accepted.
