    Hi All!!

Once again, i would like to say how much this place really helps me along on this WOE. I know that once i have posted this that i will get SO many great replies - It is truly great!!

    Anyway....

I have been on this WOE since Jan 1st 2006. Being July 24 today it makes it..well, a long time on induction - Well, a kind of modified induction now - I feel like i am somewhere in the middle of induction and Phase II.

Basically, i am on induction but sometimes include Strawberrys and Cream, Pork Rinds, Diet soft drink, small amounts of milk etc. I am "Caught in the middle" I know, probably not good with the Coke Zero etc.....

My question is this: What the heck am i doing at the moment?? Is it Atkins?? Is it a merged diet?? Is it healthy?? I am pretty much on the 20carbs a day limit, but the fat content is still high etc.. Love my sausages, burgers, eggs, bacon (you know, all the good stuff we can have on Atkins) but I am concerned that with this MODIFIED version (or Phase II??) that i am not doing ANY good at all??? A bit confused here (I am prepared for a backlash on this board LOL!!)

I know that i should probably move onto Phase II, but a part of me says that I am there already???

    OK, help!!!!

Any ideas, or clarification would be good!! LOL!!!

    Thanks

    peace

    Re: Caught in the middle

As you are eating foods from the OWL rungs you are no longer on induction as per DANDR 2002.

In the older versions (Dr Atkins diet Revolution/aka DADR) there were fewer rules as to what new foods to add, and you could add 5 carbs of whatever you missed the most!

However Dr Atkins found some people were adding things like booze and pasta to begin with and having problems so he rewrote the rules!

The 2002 version made it easier by laying down the order in which to introduce different food groups, and explaining how to check for blood sugar problems and finding our CCLL.

So why not read up on the second phase of Atkins (Ongoing weight loss/aka OWL) and start to climb the carbohydrATE LADDER TO EQUIP YOURSELF FOR EATING WHEN AT GOAL? (darned capslock button).
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!
