Re: i just ate a donut. yes, a donut.

Hi! I also understand your frustration at losing slowly! hang in there... I'm not good at giving advice, but maybe you should start bringing your coffee from home... all the money you save you could put towards your new wardrobe.... and save you from the temptation... personally, I would have a hard time looking at all those donuts...and just ordering coffee day after day!

Men always lose faster than women do! so not fair! but don't give up. I have a feeling that if you are exercising that much right now you are gaining muscle which weighs more than fat so really you won't see it on the scale. You should do your measurements... and start keeping track that way as well. That can be much more motivating especially if you are going to the gym that much! You will be dropping inches like crazy! The first time I did Atkins I got discouraged and quit because I didn't have the support like this... don't allow yourself to give in and quit when you are doing so well. The scale is not the best way to gauge our success all the time. The fact that you haven't been cheating and staying on plan... despite not losing... (donut excluded) that is success! anyways, you can do this! It's a great way to lose wt and get healthy! hang in there!

If I were in your shoes, I really think I'd avoid Dunkin' Donuts all together. Get your coffee elsewhere! Temptation is a bad mofo...!

ok I'm going to post here with my manly matabolism and fat burning abilities... haha. I'm just kidding.

don't beat yourself up over this...one donut in the grand scheme of all the donuts we've eaten in our lives is not gonna kill us. believe me I know.. I've eaten a lot of donuts. . .

remember we're all quitting carbs and sugar cold turkey and our bodies aren't very happy about it so it's gonna try to shut itself down to the point of making your brain go crazy and need that donut.. your system will eventually stabilize and you will lose weight.. it will happen.

one thing that I do when I'm at a place with lots of food temptations that I shouldn't even sniff, let alone eat is I will focus all my energy and brain power thinking about the consequences of eating that bad thing. I will think of how horrible and guilty I will feel and how I will beat myself up. I'm not gonna let that happen. Its just not worth it. Me losing this weight is more important then some stupid donut.

you'll make it. I'm sure of it.

kristi above me makes a great point too. Go get your coffee from somewhere where there isn't the temptation like their is at DD. You won't be tempted to eat something that isn't there.

Hi, I don't know much about this diet, it's my 2nd time round but I seem to have forgotten all I learnt first time so I have my book out again but when I saw your post I just thought muscle. Are you measuring? You are exercising quite a bit so it's possible the weight you aren't losing is turning to muscle - just a thought.
