    Sorry the millions of threads I just started in the last hour....actually I think it was like 4! ahahh!

    Anyways, tonight after I got home from the gym I was STARVING!!!! So, I had TWO smokies...they have no sugar (checked the ingrediants as well) and 4 carbs combined....I think I ate it at like 9pm and Its now just about 11pm. How late should someone eat? I dont know anything about eating and then sleeping...so if someone could get me out of the dark that would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!

    If you are starving then you should eat. Sounds like you did the right thing. There is no rule that says we cannot eat right at night time.

          Atkins is all about eating when you're hungry. I personally try not to eat after 8pm, but if I'm hungry I'll eat.

            You can eat any time you like... no... any time you're hungry!

              Hehe...I did that last night at about 1 am. I was reading my atkins book, about all the yummy foods. It made me really hungry LOL! I got a small bowl of baby spinach with a little dressing. It was very satisfying

                I am usually not hungry in the day. Just before bed I will get really hungry. I have tried to go to bed with out eating because of all those poeple that say don't eat at night. I can't sleep. I always pop a snack before bed. Especially if you work out in the evening. Exercise makes me hungry.

                  I also try not to eat late like after 8 or 9 pm but if Im really hungry I will have a small snack. I dont think its good for anyone to go to bed on a full tummy.

                        Personaly, I don't believe in eating in the evening kind of legend.
                        One day, a balerina told me that when she wants to keep her weigh (not to slim down, not to grow fat, just to stay still) she is not eating after 6pm. And if she wants to slim down, she is not eating after 2pm.
                        Personaly, I dont't believe this. Our body is like a car. The same amount of gaz will make it work for the same number of miles, no matter if u put the gas in ur tank in the morning or in the evening. If u drive ur car for 20 miles will consume less gas than driving it for 200 miles. So, of course, if u eat late in the evening, in the morning, when u check ur weigh u will be a lil bit heavier because u didn't spend yet the energy from the food. But you are not fatter. You will be heavier for few hours more. That's all.

                          so far thats what i have found to be great about atkins.... i was always very disciplined at work.. whatever i took was all i could eat therefore, if i was "dieting" i did great during the day .. my downfall is after dinner.. the snacking... but its ok now if you stick to what you can eat.. i have a hard boiled egg, or even left over dinner (chicken breast or such) about 9 pm (i go to bed at 10) that way i never feel like i'm going to bed deprived

                            i have no problem eating a zero carb snack before bed. like a cold piece of chicken with some mayo wrapped in a leaf of lettuce.
