  • Huge Blizzard here in the N.E - Hey, how many carbs in Snow?

Well, winter is getting is it's last blast in - to the tune of 10 inches of snow. I have been reading through DANDR and there's absolutely no mention of Snow, slush or icicles being allowed on induction.

Apparently there's a pocket carb counter that does list the carb count of snow but you have to travel to the Arctic to get one.

I've tried to pan fry some fresh from the sky snow - but even on a low
    heat it melts.

Oh how you people in sunny warm climates are lucky!

i dunno know about that LOL, but I do know that after 4months of this WOL, shovelling was a MUCH easier task than it was last year. My lawnmowing/shovelling kid down the street isn't so happy, I was a good customer and paid him well LOL.

Actually Peter you can eat all you want, it is the one and only true free food on Atkins(don't tell its a secret)
If you cook it you can count it as water.
If you shovel it you can count it as exercise.
If you eat the yellow stuff, go back to Kindergarden

I have been watching it on the news. You guys stay safe and warm and don't go out in it unless you have to. It would be a good excuse for me to make a big pot of soup, stoke the fire in the fireplace, and curl up with a good book.

There may not be carbs in snow, but there are certainly some anti-carbs in shoveling the stuff. You guys are so lucky! You get a reason to have to exercise.

and curl up with a good book.
This reminds me of something Rod McKuen said (so shoot me, I grew up in the 60's and 70's!). "Curl up with a good book or someone who has read one."

This was a very wet and heavy snow (its still snowing here as I type this). You burned a lot of extra carbs by shoveling this stuff.
