Do you like broccoli? Great veggie, very versatile.

    Also cabbage is awesome too!

Re: Was losing at fast rate and now stalled

Sorry to interject, but I have a question. I drink 96+ (3 quarts) of water a day and am already getting up to pee during the night =( I weight 336 so that would be 168 oz of water, well over a gallon a day. LOL seems like I'd get no sleep with the amount I'd have to pee;P

Try drinking more water earlier in the day rather than later, see if that helps.

Thank goodness. I am not sure if you know, but how soon after intaking the proper amount of water should I see some changes?

And keep in mind that Atkins is not a quick fix. If you make it your way of eating for life, as you should, then it doesn't really matter if you lose 5 lbs today, tomorrow, the next week or three weeks from now.

I am not looking for a quick fix. However, I remember the results I had the first time on Atkins. So If I were to lose the same amount of weight on Atkins as a low calorie diet, that I might as well do a low calorie diet. I am very committed to this eating lifestyle. I was at my partners bosses home on Sat night and they had 3 cheese cannelloni and garlic cheese bread and then triple chocolate pie for dessert. Guess what I had? Caesar Salad sans the croutons and water. So I am more than committed.

Best to forget "then". This is "now".

You have to deal with "now".

                          >> I am very committed to this eating lifestyle.>>

Not if you're saying "f I were to lose the same amount of weight on Atkins as a low calorie diet, that I might as well do a low calorie diet."

That's the thinking of someone who is still "dieting".

Why not commit to Atkins as a way of eating, and let the weight loss be the pleasant side effect?

Well I have been doing it for 3 weeks now, and they say if you can maintain something for 21 days it becomes a new habit. I already treat it like an eating lifestyle. However, I am only doing it for the weight reduction and balance my blood sugars. I don't think anyone would be like oh I think I will deprive myself of carbohydrates for the sake of nothing.

The important question is how do you want to live your life -- on Atkins or on a low calorie diet?

                                And... "deprive"?
