And I feel awful. I haven't eaten all day. Normally I'd eat some crackers and 7 up or even chicken soup (of course, I have none anyways) but I don't know what to eat with this flu! HELP!

aw, man that's the worse! a couple of days ago i had a slight sore throat and i freaked out because i wanted to take something and make it go away, but didn't want to sabatoge induction. Unfotunately, you're gonna have to ride this one through. Drink plenty of water and try to eat some induction friendly food. :nod

I had it a couple of weeks ago and couldn't eat anything. I would drink water and it would come right back up. I finaly got some beef bouillon down and that is all I had for 2 days. My doctor said that the only thing I might be able to hold down would be a potato. I said only if I'm desperate and think I am going to die. He said the bouillon is fine. Hang in there.Pam
I used to live just to eat, now I eat just to live.

Do you happen to have a chicken on hand that you could simmer and make some chicken broth? You could add some veggies(induction friendly), to the broth, plus the chicken meat and have this to eat.
Drink lost of water so not to get dehydrated. Rest and I hope you are feeling well soon.
I am sure others will make suggestions too. Get well soon.

If you can handle soup then why not make some by making a puree of cooked legal veggies with cream and butter and maybe some shredded cooked meat.
Then you would be getting your fat/protein/carbs in a liquid form.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I have had a sever sore throat and ear aches for 5 days. I have been drinking lots of water, scrambled egss, soft cheeses ( love whole milk mozzerella ) broth ect.... I was doing everything I could to fight down my water every day. I told my hubby that I was not going to get dehydrated and go in the hospital for them to shoot glucose into my viens. LOL
Finally got antibiotics yesterday and am starting to feel normal again. Hang in there.

One time when I was sick, sombody on this post told me to eat celery with creamed cheese on it. Don't know why it works, but it does.
I do have to confess that my hubby brought me a diet gingerale and I drank it, but I think bubbly water would have worked as well.Chriss Female 246/236/160 5'3"

you can freeze some of your liquids and suck on them freeze cream cheese chunks and suck on that for a sore throat. there are also glycerin sugar free throat drops and suckers in the kids section that are fine for low carbers.
Induction legal home made soup is great. faux taters work well.
Mostly you need liquids right now to keep hydrated as your body fights off the infection. As you feel better try to get some creamed soups down

I know!
Chicken broth--do you have any is so drink some. Or make some atkins-friendly chicken soup! I know you are having a hard time keeping anything down, but eating something makes it feel a lot better when it comes up :yikes Dry-heaving hurts like ****.
