  • A Voice of Inspiration: Loose Skin/Tight Skin...

Yeah... Okay ensive I've been thinking, ya know, about exercising and my motivation(s) of what inspires me to keep it moving. Well, it dawned on me and I contemplated on it-----Where will the loose skin go if I don't exercise? Better yet, Do I want a tight body with strong lungs?? The answer to both are an emphatic YES!!! I've gotta remember a thing like this, its waaay too important!!! By my remembering I'll be left with loose skin if I don't exercise, scares me into moving. But, it doesn't keep me moving so I'll have to say that other factors play a part too.

What's your take, on what's keeping you moving??

I'll admit excersising is not my strong point but necessary. I think it's important so that you can "fit" your new weight...we can all lose weight, but toning is the killer. Excersise will cut down the inches, and of course help with any excess skin. I'm an example of how people SHOULD excersise which I didn't! lol...No, I don't have extra skin...but i'm way out of shape. I used to be 200 pounds, i'm around 150-145 right now...and although I "appear" thinner i'm really more like skinny fat. I'm working on it and it's better, but I still have a lot to do. Plus you'll look better in your clothes and nekid to...or fineeeeeeeee don't excersie go ahead...but don't complain when you have to stuff, cover, and rearrange extra parts of your body into clothes. Imagine all those rolls deflated, yup and hanging everywhere. Hmm being a size 4 with saggy booties, and wings for arms. Lol just trying a scare you guys, and me lol.

My #1 motivation is a combination of most of the things already mentioned in this thread. Better health, being able to breathe freely, a body more lean and toned, preventing diseases, making amends with my "McAbused" body. I have all these things in my mind when I exercise and they simply melt together into a one heavy lump of I really need to do this for myself -feeling which then keeps me going.

No detailed speculation is needed... the strong feeling, the urge really, is what keeps me going after the initial spark.

For me its the feeling I get just after I have excercised, all of the "happy" chemicals that are produced after a workout.

Also I quite like the social side of the gym, and meeting new people that way.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

I crave exercise now. Not just walking but a hard work out.

Also, I have pictures of what I used to look like in the fall of 2003 when I was on Atkins before and lost tons of weight before becoming PG with my 2nd baby. Those pictures inspire me. Also the fact that my prepregnancy clothes are fitting now! That is a great inspiration to keep exercising! :yes
