Anyone have a problem with this?
I've gained a couple pounds lately...been exercising and eating OK
I just think I've let too much stuff like fruit & nuts into my diet.
I still don't eat bread or anything with sugar but my 5-month "stall" is now turning around on me.
Anyone else having trouble keeping away from the higher-carb foods?
It used to be really encouraging to see the weight drop...but now that it's creeping back it's a little discouraging... :sadblinky

I just want to be able to eat a variety of stuff.

Yes, Iap. It's discouraging but I make sure when the scale bounces up by 5 lbs. or so to eat very low-carb for the next several days and I'm back on track. It's usually water that makes the scale bounce. Don't forget to drink at least 64 oz a day.

I went WAY overboard with nuts this summer. Didn't realize how many calories are in them. I also ate a lot of bread on vacation because I was tired of stripping off the bun all the time in restaurants. Plus, my wife brought along so many crunchy snacks to the beach condo. It only took me 2 days at home to recover, though.

IMO, your body is just settling and adjusting. Don't fight it. I had to fight to stay at or below my original goal so I just upped it to 183 and maintain that quite easily.

By the way, You've done terrific so far.

It's not like falling off the wagon. It's like the wagon has a slowly leaking tire...
I'm going to skip the fresh fruit for a week or so and see if that does the trick.
I just bought like 8 pairs of size 36 shorts this summer and I'll be damned if I don't fit in 36 pants this fall. :raving

All I'm saying is don't sweat the fluctuations in weight, Iap. Maintenance of our bodies is just like maintenance on our bimmers. Weekly checks and service intervals are required. Let us know how dropping the fruit helps.

Iap good to see you post. Let us know how dropping the fruit works. I had the scales bounce a time or two and I don't know why for sure but only a 2-3 pounds, and I get it back down quickly. I am staying away from the breads. I tried a little and it caused me some problems in feeling bloated and so I think even the whole grain bread which is healthier than the white stuff, is just not good for me.

I too have had that happen it scares me. It can be water or fiber which is only temporary.

Go to low carb, low fiber for a few days and see what happens.
                Starting Weight - 225 lbs
                Now - 183 lbs
                Goal - 180 lbs

Good to see you IAP even if it isn't under good circumstances.

When you find your CCLM or ACE as it is now called that is your line in the sand and just cause I lost it all doesn't mean I can forget about the basic rule of Atkins eating only enough to satify my hunger and stopping no matter what. it isn't groups of foods that suddenly can't be tolerated it is violating that rule that gets me into trouble and most maintenance folk. When I allow myself extra bites cause I'm there the scales tell me I can be a 300+ pounder :yikes again too.

I know you will get those extra pounds off. you didn't work this hard this long to balloon back up.

                  EDIT
