That's kinda hard to answer, at least for me. Dr. Atkins ate 6-7 cups of veggies per day I believe. It depends on your CCL too. As a minimum, it should be the three cups then build upon that based on your CCL, where you are on the OWL ladder, what you like, etc. That's the way I look at it anyways.

rung 1--5 net carbs in addition to your current Induction veggies. Each veggie has a different amount. So 5 net carbs of jicama is 1 cup, 5 net carbs of raw spinach is an amount that rivals Mt. Everest. Don't forget, you can measure these veggies cooked. So 1 cup of cooked cabbage is about 5 net carbs.

        Yeah I agree, it depends.

I'm on 25g carbs - some days I can eat 10 cups veggies a day (if I had been eating mainly spinach or asian greens like buk choy)
Other days it would be 6 cups a day if I had a spinach salad and ate veg like cabbage, fennel, beans, broccoli for dinner
It all depends on what combo of veggies you eat, what rung you're on and how you need to meet your carb level really

            Oh yes, eat MORE veggies!!!!

They're not only good for meeting your carb requirements, but they are also low-cal, so if you think you've had enough cals for the day, then just add more veggies along with what you're eating

If you don't like the taste of some veggies like I know some people are, then just puree them into your sauce and add it to your meat or chicken, or even make them into a soup or something that you can take for lunch?

Veggies are good for slicing up into sticks and dipping into your favourite dips

More often than not, I have a hard time sticking to my carb count because I love them so much sometimes I eat too much LOL
But that's ok, then I switch 1 cup of cauliflower with 4 cups of raw spinach to try and fill me up more and still get the same carb count

Tickle is right, veggies are low cal, so adding 5 net carbs worth aren't going to raise your calories up an incredible amount. The important thing is to eat them with some fat---read the stickie about the fat percentages because you don't have to eat alot of fat with them. In fact if you've been having about 65% fat in your diet, then you don't have to increase the amount of fat, just add on 5 nets of veg.
