  • When is soy sauce okay?

Since it's made out of soybeans, does that mean I have to wait till the legumes rung to eat it? Or since there is only 1 g carbs in 1 T serving, could I have it any time? On Linda's recipe site, there are some recipes marked legal for induction, like the Korean chicken, that have soy sauce in them.

Depends on the soy sauce. Some soy sauces are made by fermenting soybean and wheat or barley. Some soy sauces are made by just fermenting soybeans.

Frankly, unless the recipe uses an outrageous amount of soy sauce, like 1/2 cup or 1 cup, I wouldn't worry about the soy sauce. However, I would worry about any recipe that uses huge amounts of soy sauce. Soy sauce is a condiment in Asian cuisine and is used like salt---a little bit goes a long way, because it's not meant to be a predominant flavor.
