  • I had a bad day..

    I finally cracked. With TOM around the corner I am moody and craving surgar and pouty... Grrrr.

    So I decide to move on to OWL and whammo... bad timing because I did not go up 5 carbs... maybe I went up 10 today

    I cheated..sort of. i was fine until supper time and watched myself carefully all day... then:

    3/4 Atkins peanut butter bar
    1/3 maybe 1/2 cup of pistachios
    A lobster tail with butter
    I cup of Shrimp with butter
    2 diet pepsi's
    3 sticks of surgar free trident
    A salad with oil and vinegar

    I know it could have been worse, it could have been surgar but that is a huge amount of food for me since starting with Atkins.

    I know you might think my perception is off and maybe it is but I feel like I`ve cheated myself... perhaps I need to stick with Induction until after TOM.

    Check in the morning to see if you are in keotsis -- if not go back to induction foods for a few days until you get back in and stay on Rung 1. You need to learn how to combat your cravings, not give in to them. Did you go from induction to Rung 3 (nuts)?

    Also - get rid of the bars, they aren't legal until further up the rungs - check the ingredients ....what sweetner is in the gum?

    You should have had some vegetables with your meal.
