  • HELP! I am going to start the fruit RUNG!

    I want to start the fruit rung. I'm too afraid my weight loss will slow way down and i have already been losing very slowly - like a lb every two weeks or so. I wanted to be down by 140 lbs before I started fruit and currently at 145... I've been perfectly fine hanging around in rung 1. I skipped the dairy. Don't really need a lot of cheese or cream and want to skip the nuts considering I never eat them or desire them anyways. So what's the best way to go about this and still continue to lose?

    typical daily menu for myself:

    Morning: 2 eggs, 1/2 Cup Pork Sausage, 1 oz. cheese
    Lunch: 2 CUps of green, hard boiled egg, bacon, 1 cup broccoli, 2 tbs. ranch
    Dinner: a cut of meat, 1/2 cups of green beans sauteed in butter and 2 strips of bacon(= 5 net carbs)

    been between 20- 25 net carbs... losing VERY slowly.

    So... my question... should i Start out eating 1-2 strawberries with some whip cream... a few times a week?

    What carb counter are you using because I estimate your menu to have about 14 net carbs, not 20-25.

    You should re-check the foods you are eating and make sure they don't contain added/hidden carbs.

    Also, you seem to be eating high sodium foods---like sausage and bacon. That might contribute to water retention, which has the ability to alter scale weight. Are you losing inches?

    Anyhow, you can skip rungs. If you skip to the Berry rung, then you add 5 net carbs of berries to your current menu.
