I was watching the scales last week and jumped up 4 lbs(diffrent digital scale)... that almost had me in depression....

Lucky for me the real scale was at work and it was 4 lbs less..

Wooh to scale hopping... advise to be careful...

The other thing I find is to weigh at the same time. I weigh first thing in the morning (when I do weigh, which is maybe once a week). I agree that other scales are scary.

      Keep up the good work.

I had a bad habit (up until last week, LOL), of waking up in the middle of the morning, using the bathroom, and then stepping on the scale. Never failed, I'd be one weight at 2 or 3am, and then when I got up around 7am, I'd use the restroom again, and then weigh myself and I would be upwards of 2 pounds lighter than just a few hours earlier. I'm referring to #1, not #2, so it's kind of weird that I could sleep off the lbs.

            Re: 33 Days and 17.1 lbs and I'm 47

I always weigh 2 to 3 pounds heavier in the evening than I do the next morning (I weigh myself a lot because I am a curious person and it doesn't bother me to see the scale jump around like it does). I can usually predict my weight for the next morning within about half a pound based on what I might weigh on my way to bed.

So I also find I can "sleep off" a couple pounds with nothing more than a few ounces of liquid lost in between times, LOL!

And I also find that if someone has weighed on the scales in the last half an hour or so (me or anyone else), it will weigh me heavier than it would otherwise. This was true of my previous set of scales too, fairly expensive digital ones in both instances... I don't know if some internal springs or mechanism gets compressed in that process and just takes a while to work itself back out or what, but it is true. I can weigh, do nothing much for the next ten or twenty minutes, then weigh again, and it will weigh as much as half a pound heavier every single time. NEVER weighs me less, so it isn't just normal variation... it is always at least SLIGHTLY heavier.

As much as I enjoy weighing myself, I still take all scale readings with a grain of salt. I weigh enough to see the daily fluctuations (or lack therof) and to recognize any single reading isn't always all that meaningful.
