  • Back after a month...

    Happy New Year everyone!!!

Hi everyone, back after 3 weeks in India. Just before I left I had a major case of food poisoning and after I landed in India I was down with swelling for a week.

Anyways, to cut a long story short, I couldnt stick to Atkins by the book, but tried to keep off carbs and just stick to eating vegetables and meat. On somedays I had no option but to eat carbs...

I had weighed in before I left and after i came back weighed in again. Total weight lost before I left: 5 kilos and total gained by the time I got back: 1 kilo.... which was a relief considering the circumstances.
The inches I have lost have more or less stayed off except near my tummy... which I am not too worried about.

Going to stay in OWL for a while now and keep at it. Am going to try out a few new recepies too....

Thinking of trying out the cauliflower pizza. Maybe will prepare the crust in advance and top in with various mix of toppings on various days.

btw, am curious, if I add whey protein / soy protein drink to my diet, will it be fine? I am considering staying on a more vegan diet than before... with meat once in a while only. So is it alright to take whey / soy protein to supplement my protein requirements?

        Welcome back, Sumi!

        Congratulations on moving to OWL!

Between whey protein and soy protein, I'd definitely choose whey. Don't forget to check the ingredients and the nutritional info. Also make sure you are eating enough fat, since Atkins is a high fat diet.
