    Re: Another veggie intake question

Oh another thing, my calories have gone down since starting OWL because of the addition of veggies. I am looking for more calories some days that aren't cheese. Although I felt I did better (lost more weight) with more cheese, except with constipation LOL

Maybe I will put some zuchini in my omelet tomorrow but, that will only make my net carbs go up.

Up your veggies, lower your other carbs. Carby sausage you have there at 4.4 net carbs.

I can up the veggies but the fat and protein will go way down unless I slather everything in lard...ewwwww And then I will be way over 25/day.

You can get more fat from oils, butter, mayo.

Less than half of your net carbs are from vegetables. It should be the other way around.

Is there a reason you made a custom entry for your eggs? Why not use "eggs, whole, raw"? And what's a "serving"?

******i use egglands best and went by the carton except the rule you gave of the carbs on any egg, 1 serving is 1 egg*******

Was it really a Florida avocado? Did it have a bumpy skin? If so, then it was a California ... a Hass. That's the kind that you should be eating, they have less carbs.

*******i assumed it was florida since i live in florida, i'll check for bumpiness, i am an avocado virgin*********

Was the Splenda a packet? ****yes*****

Did you measure your cabbage after it was cooked? ******* No, i took precook measurement********

What's "All Whites"? *******in the egg aisle at grocery store in a carton, states 1 carb for 1/4 cup of whites********

Did you measure the spinach after it was cooked?*****seriously measure 6 leaves?, it's almost too insignificant to list********

Looking at your percentages, you don't really have enough fat.

**********I get fat from protein, eggs and cheese.....but you (ATKINSGAL) said my protein is too high &not to eat more than 4 oz of cheese (previos post).

And then I need more calories? But I am suppose to be incorporating more veggies which is less calories and fat.

I don't have a solution for myself so anyone, HELP************

    Thank you

Looking at your percentages, you don't really have enough fat. Your protein is a bit high ... 20-25% is more "normal". Your calories are a bit low, too.

    >> not working here is the link,>>

    What you need to do:

    log in to Fitday.

Then on the Profile tab, at the bottom of the page is a link to "Public Setting Page".

Click on that and then click on the button "Make My Journal Public".

Then you'll get a link that looks like:

    JaxMama,

It would be most helpful if you would show us exactly how you're counting ... if you're using Fitday, you can make it public and post the link here.

********]That adds up to 24.5 net carbs?************

No, obviously not, I will add in the rest of my food

    Re: Another veggie intake question

When I put all that into Fitday, assuming 1/4 of an avocado since slice isn't an option, and assuming generic lettuce, and assuming the cabbage was green, raw, I get 19.3 total carbs and 10.6 fiber, for 8.7 net carbs.

So if you're doing OWL Rung 1, that's not, in my humble opinion and experience, enough vegetables.

Aiming for 17-20 net would be more on target.

That adds up to 24.5 net carbs?

Can you show the individual carb/fiber counts for each food?

    What else are you eating?
