  • Moving to rung 7

    Good Morning...

I am moving onto rung 7, I skipped Rung 6 because I don't like beans!
Can I have banana's? Its not on the list (unless I over looked it)
I used to love to have a banana each morning for a snack and wonder if its an "okay" fruit.
Alot of nurses at work say they are bad for diabetics and heart patients. So I am curious.
I am so thrilled to add in watermelon again (my all time FAVORITE fruit!)
I will keep an eye on how much I eat this week. Still sticking to the rules and eating all my veggies...I haven't had bacon and eggs in a couple of days though...need to go get some, I miss them! LOL

Anyways, any advise about the fruit rung would be appreciated!

    From you committed Atkineer,

    Jules

    Yes.

    Its not on the list
That doesn't matter. Rung 2 includes milk even though is not on the list... Rung 3 includes nuts and seeds that are not on the list... The foods listed are only examples of what you can add on each rung.

Just keep in mind that bananas are pretty carby. 1/4 of a medium banana has almost 6 net carbs.

Don't forget that you add a new food not more than 3 times a week.

And even if you can have it - you may not be able to eat it. There are items on the lists that do not agree with me - like rice or cantaloup. So test it our and decide what gives
