  • if fat intake >65% ? ...will i gain weight...

hi this is my first week of OWL rung 1

what happens if my fat intake is more than 65% at this stage?
will i gain weight because of the excessive fat intake?
sometimes my fat intake is beyond that( less protein) . i take olive oil/canola oil ..butter..sometimes mayo... i dont eat cheese

how will it affect my weight loss?

One will not gain weight if one's fat intake is above 65%, unless one is consuming more calories than the total number of calories one is burning.

As I wrote in the other thread where you asked this question, not eating enough protein can lead to muscle mass loss. This, however, depends on how many grams of protein you are eating, not on the percentage of protein in your diet.

What's your protein intake in FitDay? How many calories are you eating?

Try to keep your protein at around 30% if you can - this percentage stays the same as we move on up the carb ladder.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

If this is a typical day, then you are undereating calories big time! What this will do is to slow down your metabolism and make weight loss more difficult.

          Carbohydrate 15.7
How come you are eating so few total carbs in OWL? If your total carbs are 15.7... then your net carbs must be even lower than that. How many net carbs from vegetables are you eating?

Yes, you have to do it yourself.

You look at the Calories Eaten today window (where you got all your %s) and do the subtraction.

Since you ate over 24 net carbs during Induction by eating those sausages and you still lost weight without problems, I would recommend eating 25 net carbs, with over 15 (over 10 from Induction and 5 from OWL) coming from Induction vegetables.

thx...i dont take processed meat anymore now
so i'll take 15g of vege as u have suggested...
but what if the total net carb is less than 25g.
what if my net carb is less than when i was in induction....?

15 net carbs would be your minimum. You can have more if you want.

There is no reason to eat less than 25 net carbs in total, since you lost eating at this level.

Don't forget to count all your carbs. Eggs, mayo, tea, coffee, spices, dressings, cream, etc.

Blooberry, at this stage I would eat more dense veggies like cabbage, green beans, broccoli (and tons others I am not mentioning) to get to your 15 grams.

I am a huge salad eater and my problem is I fill up on the salads & have a hard time reaching the 15 grams of veggies on RUNG 1.
Of course I plan on using my own advice when I get back to RUNG 1 on Thursday.
