Well! You certainly are a very beautiful woman! Consider this a push, a shove, a nudge, a big kick in the hiney! None of us will ever know what we can be, do, accomplish without a bit of hard work and effort. Give yourself a goal, and a planned reward to boost your will to succeed! Effort deserves a reward!

Re: Need a push to continue...

We've all had times when we've lost our drive. I know I'd be telling a lie if I said I've never doubted this WOE or thought about quitting. However, what kept me going and got me motivated was a variety of things that I did:

One thing was reading other people's success stories. I figure if they can do it, so can I.

Also, keeping a diary helped. That way I could see my weekly progress and know that it was working. I took measurements and weights.

It also helps to write down why you want to lose. What are your hopes that losing weight will do for you? Self confidence? Health? Living a more productive and active life? Seeing your kids/grandkids grow up and not worrying about obese related illnesses? Whatever the reason, write it down in your journal and read it every day. Remind yourself why you have decided to lose weight.

As with anything we attempt to accomplish in life, there will be up days and down days. The key is to make a plan what to do when you are having a down day. Its not so overwhelming if you have it already planned out. Everyone who is trying to break a bad habit does better with a support group. ADBB is the best support group I've found. Maybe you need to find an email buddy or a phone buddy who you can use as well. I had an email weight loss buddy and later a group of women that I wrote daily newsletters to - to inspire them and to keep me thinking positive about the new WOE.

Do whatever it takes to make you stay motivated. Make a plan.

          You look great MonicaRose!

I totally agree with the ideas above, rewards and diaries are great motivation.

You could also help motivate yourself by joining a challenge (exercise or weight loss). If you want some daily support and feedback, use the Journal Chat, or if you don't want all the feedback you could use the Journal Stat.

And I bet you feel great too, right?
That is worth all the carbs in the world- I think personally.
