  • after and now - what not to do - reverse motivation

The title says it all. I was very successful doing Atkins the first time around, although I did not meet goal (or even come close for that matter), but I fell off the wagon and after four years of "maintaining" (what a joke, more like gaining without noticing), last week I was, once again, within striking range of my all time high. These pictures hurt so much, I am so angry at myself for wasting all that hard work. But I will use that anger to get back there and even further, all the way to goal.

I only hope you can use this as a motivation to stay on plan, the backslide is way too easy. The next thing you know is it's 3 or 4 years later and you are back right where you started. And being thin is most definitely worth it.

    Jim

Yes I'm eating a smore in the picture, how do you think I got so fat?

I know how you feel Jim. I spent most of my t eenage years very overweight, then I lost about 100 pounds. After a couple of years I slowly gained it back. I've lost 50 pounds, and gained it back. I lost 10 and gained back 5.

And here I am too, still reading, still struggling, VERY depressed and only 5 pounds down.
