big welcome kim and gabby - you are two beautiful girls. Fun that you are doing it together...I'm doing it with my husband, just helps to have someone to share it with!
Be patient, stick to the program, plan, think positive - you will be rewarded.
I would suggest taking measurements - when the scale stops moving, the inches may be dropping!

But for success I suggest planning and will power and knowledge.

Welcome girls - if you make it through three days, you will already have lost a little bit of weight and will be feeling fine. After that, it is all about planning! Plan for every event, plan for being out of food, plan for fast food restaurants. Plan, Plan, Plan. You cannot plan enough!

1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
what the rungs mean to me:
rung 1 - more veggies
rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
rung 4 - berries, melon
rung 5 - wine -
rung 6 - beans, hummus
rung 7 - other fruits
rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
(on to pre-maintenance)

Hi Kim and Gabby! Congrats on your first steps of atkins! I just RE-started on Monday. You will AMAZED at your results! Every time you may think of slipping up, just picture yourself 4 months down the road, sticking it out!! Summer will be here, and you are gonna wanna show off!
Have fun too, there is soo much yummy food you can have, who else can have filet mignon, and cheese, and cheesecake and butter....and still lose tons of weight? US! Let us know of your progress, we'll be waiting!
