ok my sister started atkins and she got real sick and gave in I told her to just stick with it that sick feeling will go away.its like detox for ur body if u were a carboholic
.I hope she can restart ..
Yes, keep encouraging her ... the first few days are the hardest ... which only proves how poisonous the refined carbs truly are to the human body ... in a matter of days, she'll feel better than she ever has in her whole life! Tell her to drink her water, take her vitamins and some pain reliever ... sleep it off for a few days if possible!
Yes addiction can be hard but we can beat any addiction if we are motivated enough and committed to the ultimate goal...keep at her and she will come around! Johnny :guns
This sick feeling is one of the things about Induction that the naysayers tend to bash, which angers me. They say "how can a diet be good for you if you get sick, ooo, must be terrible for you!" I think some people give up when they feel this way, but if they just stick it out, they will feel soooo good! It's like exercising for the first time in awhile, you feel sore and tired at first, but as you gain more endurance, it gets invigorating. No one ever told someone to stop exercising, nor should anyone stop Induction.
Tell your sis to check this forum out and see the successes. We all went through Induction flu and look at us now!
At least you got your sis to try Atkins. I have been trying to convince mine to try it, and what does she finally do? She went on South Beach! She didn't last a week.
