Re: Sugar Industry says: No link between sugar and obesity

I think we should trust the experts. Who knows more about sugar than the sugar industry?

Along the same lines, of course, we have the facts that:

    1. There's no link between alcohol and alcoholism
    2. There's no link between smoking and lung cancer
    3. There's no link between sex and pregnancy
    4. There's no link between vitamin C and scurvy
    5. There's no link between acne and puberty.

Now that we've all got that straight, let's all go out and ......no, let's not. I'm sticking to this woe!
    Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05
    218/187/140
    Measuring every 2 weeks
As of 10/31/05, losta total of 56.75 inches!

Minimum 45 min cardio per day

Barb, Welcome! So sorry for the loss of the baby.
It's good that you're taking steps to take care of yourself.

G-mom, that's what so many people did with going "low fat". Cut out the fat but keep the sugar and starches. Even with exercise, it doesn't work for many people.

What about the fact that sugar is also excellent for rotting your teeth? That's another good reason for not eating too much of it or drinking all the diet products that have so much hidden sugars in them. I'll stick to eating what nature has provided for us - eggs, meat, nuts and seeds, fruits and vegetables .... mmm!
