Hello everyone, I can't really find this addressed so here I go.

I try my best to eat something every 6 hours. this last week I have upped my water intake by double It was one of my problems, however since I have doubled my water I am getting dizzy spells and I've fainted now twice. I have no idea what is going on. First I feel sick to my stomach, then the room starts to get dark and wham... there goes Ivy on the floor. It doesnt last very long a few seconds but its starting to scare me. In the mornings when I first get up, I feel like I am going to throw up, Then I run to the kitchen and eat alittle protein to get me through and that works, the feeling goes away. This isnt happening just in the mornings. Mid-day as well.

I take vitamins, drink water, I am getting atleast 20 carbs per day and my menu really hasnt changed very much. The last time this happened I thought perhaps my sugar level dropped, but after I picked myself up off the floor I tested it and its at anywhere from 94 - 110. So thats not the answer. No Im not pregnant. That would be a miracle lol.

    Anyone have suggestions?

    Ivy

Get yourself to a physician or go to the ER the next time you pass out!

I agree, you need to see your doctor. Sounds serious to me.

Absolutely - go to the doctor! Fainting is no laughing matter and not to be addressed through a diet book or forum!!

Should they not find anything - a couple fo things.

        1. When I've felt dreadful for longer than just the induction phase - it usually meant that I was getting excess carb somewhere and falling in and out of ketosis - a perpetual Atkins Flu. Should you Doctor OK it - make sure you're below 20grms.

        2. Drink even more water.

        3. Take a B multivite on top of everything else. Naturemade makes a good one w/C. One downside of Dr. A's plan is that B vites are found usually in grains.

        4. Walk. That's right walk. Hop on a treadmill or go outside. Dont' go fast. For the first 5 mins - breath 4 counts through your nose and 4 counts out your mouth. Makes you feel --- AMAZING! No joke.

5 BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE THOUGH - go to your doc!!

        Good luck!

Go to the Doctor for sure for sure!

It sounds like low blood sugar to me. Eating every six hours may not be enough for you. (It's not for me) try every 3-4 hours. A little protein snack.

I agree with Fawn. Sounds like low blood sugar. My mother if she doesn't eat close enough gets weak and feels faint.
