Re: UK overtakes US as Fast Food Junkies

One thing that confuses me somewhat is my home town. Apparently we are the 2nd largest town in our County, with approx 30,000 inahabitants (not that big you see).

    And we have -

    16 Chinese Takeaways!

    Do we really need 16!?!?!?!?

On top of that we have

    6 Indian Takeaways
atleast 10 fish and chip shops
    3 pizza places
    6 kebab shops!

I still cant understand why we have 16 chinese takeaways though. Must be a call for them though or some would have gone out of business

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

and we have just one health food shop, which every month has atleast one half price sale to shift the stock.

That says a lot for the state of British eating habits!

Amazing, Rich? In that little town we both know? But Wiltshire doesn't anywhere big!

It's the stress of moving house, Rich. The packers come in the morning.

Should you not be starting with a capital letter, Rich? Mind you, you did not write a sentence. You wrote without a subject.

                  This would be better:

I live in a neighborhood with every chain restaurant imaginable, and have never seen a place that makes kebabs. So I made some last night on the George Foreman grill! I learned the hard way that I need to cook onions a lot before eating them. My nose and eyes still burn.

I have a soft spot for Wiltshire. Was only there once, and it's more than 20 years ago, and just for a long weekend. In a pub called The Catherine Wheel in Shrewton (wonder if it is still there?). There was a man involved. I couldn't tell you how many Chinese restaurants there were, or even very much about what the town looked like, but I could describe in great detail the room we stayed in.

Dirty weekends in Wiltshire eh? Kate, hehe. I nearly had one of those once
