Re: 6 weeks in can i cheat? well have a little treat? advise need please

Staying on induction too long is the main reason people want to cheat and eventually fall off completely. No, adding more veggies the first week probably won't cure your cravings, but it is the first step to the other rungs that will. When I am wanting to 'cheat' I have some yummy legal foods that I save for just such an occasion. Some Atkins friendly foods were never meant for eating every day, so I save them for legal treats.

Move on and do the eating plan justice. When you are slim and healthy, you will be glad that you did.

yes on the linda's low carb website i think there is an atkins friendly cheesecake...so good...and i think you could make it with cocoa powder...and later on on OWL you could put berries on top or even make a sugar free strawberry sauce of some sort....mmm....and when i'm really craving pizza I put some pepperoni in the microwave with mozzarella on top and i really feel satisfied like i just ate pizza...there are ways to make a low carb crust but this is a quick fix when you must have something right away lol. and i agree with everyone...cheating is not worth it. I got from 170 lbs to 129 lbs, and then cheated my way all the way up to 215 lbs...SO not worth it...never again!

Congrats on your almost 18 pound loss in 6 weeks. That's about 3 pounds a week. So your degree of metabolic resistance is average to low. Which means that extending your Induction isn't all that necessary for you to correct metabolic imbalances that cause a high metabolic resistance to weight loss.

You might want to consider moving to OWL sooner than later.

If the link doesn't work when you click on it, just copy and past it into the address bar. This recipe got me thru some very had times. The only thing you have to be careful about is the pizza sauce. Some of it has sugar. I don't have a can any more, must have used my last one. Those small Hunt's Tomato Sauce doesn't have added sugar, you can use that and add some Oregano or Italian Spices to it if you cant find sugar free pizza sauce.
