Hi All, I'm getting so tired of eggs for breakfast....done them every way imaginable.....I'm on rung 1 of owl - went to fresh dairy rung - but it stalled me - so back to veggie rung before moving onto next rung....need some ideas for breakfast anyone. Oh I'm also starting to think sweetner isnt my friend...so cutting that out for this week too. I have stevia - which I havnt tried yet - want to know if thats stalled anyone before?
Anyway - those are all my questions

i know what you mean about eggs and getting tired of them everyday. i have the same problem, but i've learned something. you don't necessarily have to have eggs for breakfast everyday, how about a nice tuna salad for breakfast, or even a piece of meatloaf. if you are wanting to have the eggs for your protein, you could hard boil some and cut up to put in your tuna salad or even in a regular salad. the meatloaf i fix, has an egg in it as a binder, so that helps too.
i'm having some meatloaf and a couple cucumber sticks today myself for breakfast.

i'm sure others will be along shortly with more suggestions.

    have a good day

I had Turkey Spam for breakfast. One slice has 40 calories and 1 carb. I had it cold from the fridge but it can be fried or nuked and topped with mayo or mustard or even cut up in a salad. I always have a can in the cupboard for those times when I'm tired of everything else. It always hits the spot for me.

I eat a muffin in a minute every morning for breakfast. Sometimes plain, sliced up, sometimes with butter or cream cheese. Tip: Take cream cheese, let it soften for a bit, use a little artificial swetner (I use liquid splenda) and whichever extract you prefer,. I use rasberry or orange (make sure it has no sugar), mix this well and use as a spread for your muffin.

I've been using Stevia with no problem. Just make sure you get one without maltodextrin as a filler (I use liquid)

I have the Egg problem too. A lot depends on where I am on the Atkins Rungs. Induction - Eggs. Sorry - best there is.

However, in Maintenance - I'd frequently have a very high fiber cereal - like all Bran Extra Fiber - or the New Hope Mills (formerly Atkins) low carb pancakes. Lox and Cheese is nice too. I've done steak and eggs if I'm desperate. Very filling.

I've never had good luck w/the Atkins Bars or anyone elses. I just need more food. Anybody found a bar they like?

Here's the recipe I have for a One Minute Muffin

                        One Minute Muffin

                        1/4 cup flax meal
                        1/2 teaspoon baking powder
                        1 packet splenda packet
                        1 teaspoon cinnamon
                        1 large egg
                        1 teaspoon butter

Put the dry ingredients in a coffee mug.

                        Stir.

Then add the egg and the butter. Mix.

Microwave 1 minute (or more). Take out. slice, butter, eat.

Cream cheese would go nicely, too.

Notes: 11.1 total carbs, 8.8 fiber, for 2.3 net carbs.

The shape of this can be changed by making it in a bowl.

It can be "toasted" once it's cooked.

The cinnamon can be replaced. I would imagine that any sugar free syrup could be added.
