  • climbing owl during stall

Hi guys - been in a plateau for 2 weeks now, have been doing 6 weeks induction. have only 10-12 lb to lose. Want to start on the rungs but how will I know if something effects me negativly if I'm currently in a stall anyway? I'm tired of induction, and want to vary the diet more...what to do? Just do it anyway and start on rung one, what happens if still stalled on rung one? does that mean I'm averse to the new food, or just still in my 'plateau'???

Per Dr. A if you don't lose any weight or inches in 4 weeks you are at a stall.

I would suggest you move up to OWL Rung 1 Veggies. Many people start to lose when they move up.

I agree with Oz, move up to Rung 1 on OWL. See you over at the OWL forum

This is a dilemma that many people who start on Atkins with maybe 20-30 pounds to lose will have if they decide to spend any longer than the 14 days on induction, so you are not alone

When you climb the OWL ladder you are going to have to rely more on the blood sugar symptoms detailed in DANDR to tell if any new foods are affecting you than those with more weight to lose have to.

Also Ozlover made a good point about inches being lost, so perhaps you will be able to tell you havent reached your ccll as you climb the OWL ladder by keeping track of your measurements as well as your weight.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

THanks Ellizellen - What sort of blood sugar signs to look out for? Not really sure about his part....
Other than that, a truck load more veggies it is until I start more rungs...its sooooo hard to get carbs up with veg!!! Getting to 30 is a real challenge!!!

In my copy of DANDR the list of blood sugar symptoms start on page 150, and are towards the end of chapter 12 'Time to review your results'
