  • Ok, When is it GONNA happen?

So, I look around here a lot and I always see ppl saying that they are stalled and what not for weeks at a time...well, my question is I rererestarted (too many re's to keep up with ) May 24th and while I have had my slips ups I have stayed pretty much committed. To date I have lost 27 lbs..when is my stall coming? Im terrified to have one because after 4 yrs of carrying this weight around I just want it to be gone. Does everyone stall? Can there be ppl that lose consistantly? or am i doomed? lol I know it's silly to worry about because Im losing, doing good, and sticking to plan regardless but my husband will be home from a deployment at the end of September and I want to be as close to goal as I can to WOW! him. K thx for reading!!

First of all... thanks for being without your husband and thanks to your husband for being whereever he is in the world and standing up for all of us... even though I am a canadian, I wanted to say I appreciate that, I admire that, and I respect that!

I know for certian you are going to wow him. that goes without saying. Congrats on your weightloss so far, that is outstanding.

I don't think stalls happen for everyone. I have slowed down but don't consider it a stall because I have been a little lazy lately.

Just keep your head down and do what you are doing with a positive attitude. Intend that you are going to reach your goal and you will... the moment you let doubt creep in that is the moment you will see the things that will entice you, the things that will pull you off track... september is not far away... both of us could feasably lose an additional 20 lbs by then... IT IS POSSIBLE

    Good luck and again...THANKS

Consider yourself lucky! You are doing great. If you do stall however, its upsetting but if you are keeping track of everything it usually not too difficult to find and eliminate the culprit and get back on track. If you're having trouble with it, you can post your menus and we will help you out. So don't sweat it.

And, just so those who are doing everything right don't feel frustrated, sometimes you do everything right and STILL STALL. So don't lose faith.

Hopefully Fat, you won't be one of them.

Not everyone stalls. I never stalled until I had lost well over 100 pounds. I did have a positive attitude throughout (and still do). Every time I read that "everyone stalls" or "everyone hits a plateau" I stopped reading and repeated to myself, "Not Me!" When I slowed down, I started tweaking my food and exercise until the pace stepped back up.

Usually whatever you BELIEVE will happen, does. You are only doomed if you think you are doomed. Keep a positive outlook and your mind on your goal and you will make it. Keep in mind that what you think in your mind is the outcome your sub-conscience tries to produce. So, every day picture yourself at goal. Don't look at any fat pictures. If you have old pictures at goal, keep those out to look at.

You have done so well and I feel sure that your husband is going to be wowed beyond belief! I hope you have kept it from him so you can see the look on his face when he sees you.

I agree with everyone here!! If you stall (and that is a big IF), there are many ways to work through it. Besides, at least in a stall, you aren't gaining! I swear, as long as I am not gaining I am happy! Take care, work hard, and you will really surprise your husband. Please, keep us posted.
Try to get 80-100 ounces a day!

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right.

Re: Ok, When is it GONNA happen?

I have never been stalled for "weeks at a time" either. A week or two at most, and my average loss from my start date fo 11/2/07 until now is 2.01 pounds per week. Follow the plan, and if you do hit a bit of a wall, drink more water, get a little more exercise, and eat lots of brocolli and spinach!

290 lbs. on 11/02/07 Goal: 145 lbs. or size 14 whichever comes first!
