Re: Weight Watchers or Atkins
When I was younger (early 30s), WW worked really well for me. I didn't get hungry and got to my goal weight without too much trouble. I wasn't diligent about following the program, but it still worked.
However, the closer I got to 40, the less WW worked. I really had to be diligent and I was feeling hungry all the time and would struggle to lose weight. With Atkins, I'm not starving, I eat more veggies, and I feel better.
One thing I've discovered is, the older I get, the more I need to be activel. Not necessarily exercise, but something that requires more movement than sitting around. I've taken the kids bowling, painted part of a room, walked around the yard with a toddler. It doesn't take much as long as I'm not vegetating all day.
