  • Induction 11 days and no significant loss?

Okay day 11 of induction, my keto sticks show me in and out of ketosis...I have lost a bit of weight as my clothes feel so much more comfortable but I haven`t lost weight that would make people comment...

    Breakfastt
I have 1 or two eggs in the morning, poached or scrambeled
Dcaf coffee with a bit of cream

I may have some cheese to snack on for lunch or a tin of tuna with mayo

    Dinner
Chicken or Salmon and a cup of broccalli

I am drinking 2 litres of water a day and I may have a diet soda in the day but hardley ever...pork rinds only as a treat
Decaf tea and a drop of cream

Now what, do I keep going?...all I ever hear on the tv is to cut back on fats blah blah blah and it`s makeing worried....

I dont really feel as if I am in ketosis like I was last year when I went onto induction, I couold really feel it.....I have been feeling better in general but yesterday, seemed to hit a wall, I was suddenly fatigued and felt lethargic most of the day, headache all day, today I am better..

I dont wanna give up, just don`t know where to go from here, especially of I am not loosing any weight, should I do the fat fast?

I am gonna get thin come **** or high water

I don't think you're eating enough. Are you satisfied when you finish a meal? Looks to me like you're barely breaking 1000C.

You will lose less weight the second time around than you did the first time you were in induction.

I think you should aim for a better lunch. Maybe a piece of meat on lettuce.

Where are your veggies? One cup of broccoli is not enough - take a look through the induction section of your DANDR book - it needs to be followed or you're not doing Atkins, and you will struggle to lose weight!

First off, what is your height, your current/start weight and how much do you want to lose?

We can all expect to lose 5-10% of the weight we need to lose during the first 14 Days of Induction. That means, if you have a 10 pound weight loss goal, you can expect to lose 1/2 to 1 pound. If you have a 100 pound eight loss goal, you can expect to lose 5-10 pounds.

I'm in total agreement with the previous posters. You are not eating enough, period. If you keep it up, when you do lose weight, it will be muscle. Your veggies are missing. You're fat and protein aren't what they should be. It's just not enough food. Can you have 2 eggs for breakfast and a few slices of bacon? Mid morning snack...veggies, celery sticks, cucumber slices and some dressing for a dip, if you'd like. Perhaps some string cheese. Breakfast doesn't have to be conventional either. The last 2 days, I've had some roast cut up into bite size pieces, cucumber slices and celery sticks with a little ranch dressing to dip the veggies in. Filled me up! I snuck in protein, carbs and fat..and that's the point! Not knowing your weight, I have no idea where you're starting or what your caloric intake should be. For lunch, at the very least for me is a 5 oz can of tuna with 2 tablespoons of mayo. Protein and fat again. Snacks are usually string cheese. Dinner, protein, salad and veggies. If you limit your calories too much, just like a low fat low cal diet, you'll stop your weight loss. Induction isn't 5 grams of carbs, it should be closer to 20. Get on fitday.com. It's free help you can't afford to be without.

If you only need/want to lose 10 kilos, then you should only expect/aim to lose 0.5 kilos to 1 kilo during induction. It's quite a small amount anyway, so don't expect to lose a huge amount during induction because you don't need to.

But you need to do induction properly - you can't get frustrated and give up if you're not doing it properly to begin with.
