What do you mean add fats? Like mix the powder with something?

Ive never used any kind of protien suppliment before, but would like to start as we'll be starting to work out on a more regular basis here soon.

Is it a bad idea to add this to my diet during the induction phase?

I use a product from Nussentials that has 20 grams of whey protein per serving. You can read about it at www.nussentials.com/kelly
        It is called LESS.

We even have college teams that instruct their players to use after a workout for lean muscle.
I will stay on my diet. I will get healthy and lose weight. There is nothing I could eat or drink that tastes as good as how I feel at this moment on this WOE ~ nothing!

Look at Myoplex. I don't think they have any sugar and very very low in carbs.

So you ladies had me checking out the whey protein The thing I read that really caught my eye was that several places said that it works better when consumed with carbs at the same time after a workout. I'm guessing you all don't do that!?!

I use Aria Women's protein from the health food store, but generally just in my flax cereal. I have made a shake with it a couple of times with frozen berries. The Aria does have a very small amount of fructose but I am only using half-portions each day.

No. It is allowed starting with OWL Rung 2 though.

This guy has a great take on working out and low carbing. I enjoy doing Slow Burn type workouts and his blog is full of interesting things. This was his latest article and addresses part of your question:
