Hi everyone. I started on Atkins in January, as I am stuck with a lot of excess baby weight after having twins. I tried Atkins in 2005 and really enjoyed it compared with 4 years on Weight Watchers.
This time, the weight refused to come off. I think I lost a total of 3 pounds in 3 months, all within the first couple of days of induction. It was crazy, especially seeing people here being very successful.
Anyway, I went to my doctor and had everything tested. He thinks it is most likely my antipressant medication, and he's switching me to one that's less likely to cause weight problems. He didn't say anything negative about Atkins (yay!), and was one of the first doctors to acknowlege that I AM big boned (just not THIS big boned).
I'm going to focus on just losing 10 lbs to start (I would love to lose 50lb).
Any encouragement you could offer would be great! I went off of the diet for a few days (feeling sorry for myself), so I'll be re-starting induction.
Sue
