  • Feeling warm?

I've noticed something since starting back on Atkins. All last winter and the one before that and even last summer I was cold. That was not like me. In the winter time all I'd ever wear was a sweater or sometimes just a pull over sweater because I was just naturally warm. The past two winters I was absolutely miserable. I lived in sweats, hunting socks, and I was on the sofa with a quilt over me and had a small space heater sitting directly in front of me. Even last summer I was never what one would call ever really hot. Since starting Atkins again, I've noticed that I'm warm all the time. Yesterday I actually sweated! I was wondering if it could possibly be because this WOE has finally kicked my metabolism into gear? I suppose it could be hot flashes, but I don't think so. I'm thinking it's because my metabolism is finally working like it should have been all along . It's a long forgotten feeling to actually have heat inside my body....lol.

Being warmer is a sign that the metabolism is going up. You are literally burning more now, good for you!

i find that i get unusually hot right before i have a woosh. last night i was hot and felt sort of sick, almost to the point of sweating. i actually weighed myself last night just for grins and it was 214.8(after eating all day, that morning it was 213.6) and this morning i'm finally back to a solid 211 after 8 days of trying to get -back- to 211. thats a lot of weight to lose overnight, maybe you're just in for a wooshy!

The times I was on induction, my legs felt warm and tingly in the large muscles.... I could just about feel the cells burning up fat in there, esp my thighs!

YES! I get that feeling after a workout, and it's the best feeling when you get it all day long if you work out early in the morning. The feeling gets better when you build more muscle, plus that helps burn fat quicker.
