  • Let the induction begin...

So I started up on induction today (had done Atkins before a few years back and did pretty well and then attempted to start up last year and never quite got there) so I'm charged up and raring to go...LOVE this bulletin board and all the motivation that stems from it.

Breakfast consisted of two eggs and I'm having a steak and green beans for lunch. Figured out there's 3.5 carbs in a can of green beans, which didn't seem bad. At dinner we're making meatballs out of italian seasoned ground turkey and I'm making my own sauce out of tomato that I'll cook down and add garlic and basil to and then top with some mozzarella. My husband (the skinny little rail) is using the hoagie and store bought sauce. We can totally do this.

Anyhow, I have about 200 lbs to lose but there are landmarks on the way down I will be happy to hit and having never been thin, I don't even know if 160 is realistic for me. We'll see, I'm not obsessed with the number. I just want to look and feel good.

Well, wish me luck as I traverse induction and attempt to conquer cravings!!!!!!!

Hi & welcome! I know what you mean about setting a goal weight...I haven't weighed that little since I was a small child (by small I mean young & short - like you I was never slim!)

My hubby is doing this with me, but after 4.5 months, he's pretty much at goal, and I still have 100lbs to lose...I'm going to have to get creative to stop him from disappearing altogether!
