i am very pleased with my progress but i have not lost any weight in 2 weeks and have actually gained a few pounds. I have not changed any eating habits (maybe a few more veggies from the garden), and have continued working out. Did I mention I have only been on atkins since March 2. thanks for any input.

Re: lost 90 pounds....now im stuck
Just stay with what you were doing and drink more water. I lost 26 pounds and then got stuck at 156.5 for three months. I started losing again on July 25th and have dropped 5.5 pounds since then. I think sometimes the body likes to readjust to its new weight. I did have to cut my portions down slightly and have started drinking two cups of green tea per day, but haven't really changed anything else.sigpic starting 12/26/2008

Re: lost 90 pounds....now im stuck
the first stalls i had i found out it was from eating 10 grams of carbs worth of whole wheat that made me stall
later i learned more about the diet and found out whole wheat is a rung 9 food but i had stoped eating it b4 that and whent from 250 too 230
anyways after that and got to 230 i was that for years but then to break that fat loss stall i had to start going to the gym ( not cardio ) and working all my muscles
since starting the gym i have lost another 50 pounds of fat and gained 50 pounds of muscle so im the same weight but look and feel alot better
the reason why endurance cardio is not that helpful is because endurance cardio does not really drain the glucose from your muscles thats why people can go 5+ hours of light cardio easy besides being extremely bored
but if you do cardio 7-10 mins tops 1-2 times a week and go at it fairly hard but not to hard that it hurts you then that should be helpful
your arms and such could use cardio like things more than your legs for example your always walking around but your not always useing your arms or other muscles to do things thats why at the gym sets of 1x20 then 1x15 1x10 1x5 increaseing the weight that way you get the muscle movement from the high reps and also the low reps with higher weight near the end that drain the glucose from your muscles
atkins + draining the glucose from your muscles = super good fat loss and super good muscle gain
and lastly make sure you are comfortable working out at the gym find a way that works for you and feels good so you go every day and you cant go low rep full power for weeks un end you will burn out so change your routine some weeks hard low reps other weeks 4x20 reps on things and etc learn from people how to do the exercises properly and dont go for power every week with the same muscle cause you will burn out so switch to other routines every so often

Re: lost 90 pounds....now im stuck
Many people report that after a long stint on induction their losses seem to grind to a halt
Often starting the next (main weightloss) phase of Atkins helps to restart the process
so maybe it is time for you to start adding more carbs according to the rules of Ongoing Weight Loss (OWL)?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!
