Okay, I know its water but it stinks I tell ya! I got stupid this week. I thought I could have the sour cream and onion dip in place of my sour cream. I thought I could have a little peanut butter. Now I've been gaining a pound a day. No way does it equal out in calories. It has to be mostly water weight. Even though I am closer to goal weight, I still loose a lot of water in induction. I am just so good at holding water. My dear ones are telling me my body just wants to weigh 150 pounds, it thinks that's perfect. I am thinking I'm gonna get rid of the dip and stay out of the peanut butter and see what happens next week. My clothes are still baggy, I tried on a pair of 12's and they are still loose. I also don't get how that can be when the scales are saying more. I have been really horrible and skipping my walking so I can't have toned anything. Anyway, I got major sympathy for everyone that has the scales go up on them. I have turned all the really bad cheat foods down this week. I could understand if I had went out ate something really off plan. This is the first time I remember having this happen when I haven't cheated big with something. And its the first time its happened and my pants were still loose.

Re: Scales keep going up!
Oh, I know how bad it sucks! I've been watching the scales just go up and up! Every morning there is another pound! I am scared my loved ones are right my body really likes 150 pounds for a weight. My ex who I'm still very much with, seems to really like me here. He was telling me how much he'd rather have twenty more pounds of non-smoker! (All I heard was the twenty more pounds part!) I was gonna quit smoking then the pounds started piling on and I bought tobacco, and then came a few more pounds. So I guess tobacco isn't a cure either. But I wanted this 150 mark in the PAST before I quit, and I thought it was. He thinks if I got to 130 pounds, I'd be boobless and buttless. He asked if I was trying to get as small as Michele who use be a size extra small. I told him I would Never be that small because my bones are too big to get there ever. He has never seen me smaller than this and I think its messing with his mind. He's saying things like, "You were 150 pounds when I met you, you were 150 pounds when I married you!" "Why 130 pounds? Are you looking for someone else?" And this 150 mark has really started messing with my head too! But I'm not gonna give up, he will see me without the gut before he is allowed to say he doesn't like it! I just want him to see me at the weight I should be just once. I just want to see it one more time. I was really cute for half a second when I was a teen!

Good suggestion
Additionally I would suggest that you try to forget about pounds as being a measure of how big you are and switch to thinking about sizes instead. Many Atkineers post all over the internet that after eating lowcarb and losing weight their body is smaller at a higher weight than it was prior to eating lowcarb.
Sometimes they even say that it can't be muscle instead of fat as they are not exercising
but all the same their body is less flabby and takes up less room that it did at the same weight.
So just take advantage of the fact that eating Atkins makes you smaller at the weight where previously you were in larger clothes and rejoice in your baggy clothes!!
No-one knows what the scales say unless you are going to have it printed on a T-shirt, but everyone can see the clothes getting looser and body getting smaller, so forget about reaching a magic number on those scales!!Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: Scales keep going up!
Thanks! I told him I could be heavier as long as it was muscle not flab. He said just quit smoking and I'll still love you even if you get bony. I am surely not gonna tell him my real weight anymore for awhile. Great idea! The scales went down some since I went to very low carb, and cut out the peanut butter and that dip. I am glad to know Atkins helps you be leaner as well as lighter. I must be putting that protein to good use! I do like the idea of having a goal, but I'm willing to stop before I become actually bony. I am finding it strange how many opinions come at me from everywhere about what my perfect size is now. "Stop! Your great right there!" "You're a mom, you should have extra!" I just want to stick my tongue out at them. I'm about 5ft 6 1/2 inches tall, my bones are medium to small for my height. The smallest my frame will stand is a size six though and I'll probably be happy with an 8 whatever the weight. Its hard to make decisions about where you'll end up when you've spent most of your time overweight. I just didn't expect people to spazz over it until was actually thin.
