This is the list of ingredients:
Whole grains, bean, seeds of *kamut®, *spelt, *wheat, *rye, *millet, lentils, eggs, soy protein, flax, sesame, *quinoa, *amaranth, wheat gluten, 7 grain flakes, oat bran, sea salt & yeast.
In which phase/rung do you think it fits, if you check the Carbohydrate Ladder in DANDR?

I would skip it alltogether, it probably tastes like cardboard anyway. If you really miss bread so much, it may be a problem food for you. I think the best way to go is just eat unprocessed foods for now, I wouldnt be planning ahead on what I could possibly eat in the future. So, just focus on your acceptable foods list for now. It may keep you more sane and focused, and you may find something you didn't know you like! (for me - cauliflower!)

I would be really suspicious of the counts.

Julian Bakery makes excellent breads. Keep in mind that these are real health food stuff as they are made almost entirely of whole grains (the real ones), legumes and seeds. Tastes similar to Ezekiel Bread if you've ever had that. I like Julian's better. This is not like regular, fluffy bread you get from the store.

I used to have their Manna From Heaven before Atkins and plan to again when I'm in pre-maintenance.

I think the nutritional stats are accurate. Lord knows they have been analyzed by the Rosedale Diet people and others in the low carb community. I think there would have been some buzz if they were not. The bread is almost entirely fiber which is why the net carbs are so low. Is it really only 1g? Don't know but it is definitely very low.

One gram sounds awfully low. It's crazy how some of these companies make such claims on the front label or a product then I go read the back label and sure enough the stuff's loaded with carbs but has a huge amount of added fiber and sugar alcohol. pfffffffffffft Somebody outta tell their Mama.

Personally I like knowing what's in my food. I think someone already mentioned Julian's. There are ways of making a low-carb bread product that's tasty and works without adding the chemicals like the low-carb tortillas and wraps. Even so, you're talking say 6 or 9 net carbs for a tortilla. One net carb for a slice of bread sounds too good to be true... and it probably is.

Suzanne, what breads are you talking about? We were discussing Julian's here. There are no added chemicals in whole grains, bean, seeds of *kamut®, *spelt, *wheat, *rye, *millet, lentils, eggs, flax, sesame, *quinoa, *amaranth, wheat gluten, 7 grain flakes, oat bran, sea salt & yeast.

This bread has 12g of fiber per slice. Julian's Bakery does not make tortillas.

I ran their numbers through a hidden carbs calculator online and it worked out as possibly having 13.77 total carbs per slice, so assuming some 'rounding' of the numbers, the 1 net carb seems about right.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
