  • Hey y'all (question about body lift)

Hey guys, I haven't been around for a while, don't get online much these days anyway. But in the past few years I've managed to get down to 181 lbs (of course I'm up to about 193 right now thanks to the holidays, that and having eye surgery kept me from the gym for a while) but I'll loose that in a few weeks.

Anyway. I've given some serious thought about having a full body lift. Sadly to say, I'm gonna need it. However, the procedure cost around 18k+. I could make that in a year if it wasn't for other expenses. That and the fact that I'm really bad with money.

I would like to know if anyone has had it, how did they afford it. Its not something insurance will cover (as its not enough to debilitate me or cause me health problems) Is there another way to pay for it? Loans? Some kind of program?

I find it funny that insurance considers this cosmetic and won't cover it. Its also looked down upon because its my fault that I need it. While I won't argue with that logic. I do find it funny that insurgence companies will foot the bill for Johnny-Pack-A-Day's lung cancer treatments.

So, any ideas or info would be nice and greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Re: Hey y'all (question about body lift)

body lift as in excess skin removal right? i had a breast reduction and a tummy tuck done so far

and ya it is funny how they wont fit the bill. they will pay for useless drugs and things that make people more sick but not something that needs to be done to make life alot easier for us

anyways the doctor screwd up on my breast reduction i lost my right nipple but i still look a heck of a lot better

and i got no refund or anything for there screw up but im not surprised either but its not the end of the world i still look a heck of a lot better

but he said he did the same thing to my left nipple as what he did to my right so maybe it wasnt his falt i dont know

anyways make sure you dont eat soy cause soy and bad carbs and maybe other posions are what made me need a breast reduction surgery

    Welcome to Soy Online Service

and the only advice i can give you for finding a doctor to do the surgery is try to find a doctor that actually cares about you and talks to you and not one that is in a rush and or doesnt seem to care much xD

First, congratulations on your weight loss!

As to surgery, there are many on ADBB who have experience with it. You look pretty young in your photo... I'm thinking your skin probably has quite a bit of elasticity in it and that you may do well to hold off for a while. Could start a savings account and start socking money away for the operation so that when you're sure that you'll need surgery to make the extra skin go away you'll have the cash to pay for it. Just my two cents.

Isn't it an awesome problem to have, though???

Dr. Dan Diaco in Tampa Florida is one of the best plastic surgeons out there. I don't know where you're at but choosing a good surgeon is paramount.

Do you lift weights? That might help with excess skin as well.

I'm in Indiana, Lifting weights helped out quite a bit with my arms and legs. Not much can be done for my belly and chest.
